Wednesday 29 November - Thanksgiving Day lunch 12.30pm
The Local – Taylor’s Road - DRESS CODE: Smart Casual
Thanksgiving Day is a celebrated tradition passed down from our Pitcairn and Whaler ancestors. Norfolk is one of the few places outside of the U.S.A who still celebrate this day. Guests are welcome to attend the morning Church Services, then enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch of local traditional dishes. INCLUSIONS: Welcome punch on arrival, Island Buffet lunch and entertainment. Cash bar service available.
Thursday 30 November - Celebration Dinner 6pm for 6.30pm
The Bounty Lodge at Ferny Lane - DRESS CODE: Evening wear
Taste your away around Norfolk Island at the Celebration Dinner. A relaxed degustation menu will showcase fresh produce from all corners of our bountiful island. MASTERCLASS with Celebrity Chef Matt Golinski – Tuesday 26 Nov 11.30am at The Paradise Hotel and Resort
Matt Golinski is a highly regarded, professional chef with a passion for creating cuisine using fresh, seasonal and local ingredients. Well known as one of the original team members of the popular ‘Ready Steady Cook’ television series, Matt has worked as executive chef at some of Queensland’s leading restaurants and founded his own catering company.
Culinary Journey: Monday 25 Nov 10.30am – 1pm at the Bounty Lodge
A colourful Polynesian experience where you will enjoy a Tahitian feast cooked in the authentic and traditional underground oven “Ahima a”. The opening of the underground oven and traditional feast represents the food journey of our history from Tahiti to Pitcairn to Norfolk Island using local fresh produce and Island fish and meats.
Ladies Who Lunch: Tuesday 12noon – 2pm. Outdoor venue TBA
A chance for the ladies to enjoy a gourmet picnic experience set amongst beautiful Norfolk scenery. Settle in for the afternoon and enjoy a scrumptious selection of seasonal food with complimentary Rose and bubbles.
The Forager Sour Dough Workshop: Thursday 11am – 1pm
Join in the Forager Workshop to learn the process of making natural fermented sourdough. A hands-on experience ending with a light lunch and your own loaf of freshly baked wood-fired sourdough to take home.
The Barn: Thursday 11am – 1pm – Meet at the Visitors Information Centre.
A walk-about tour around the market and kitchen gardens of “Barnaby Produce” and “The Barn” where you will meet two generations of one local family. This is followed by a combination of hands-on and demonstration cooking using seasonal produce gathered along the way. The focus will be on traditional island dishes using fresh picked produce. A relaxing tasting follows overlooking the gardens of The Barn.
Hilli Goat Farm: Thursday 11.30am – 1.30pm
Visit The Hilli Goat Farm at Anson Bay, where owner Emily will show you around the family farm. Meet & interact with the friendly much loved goats & see how the cheese is made. Sit down at the family home & enjoy an extravagant platter of Hilli Goats cheeses, homemade breads and preserves and all the beautiful produce picked, cooked & served from the property.
