Tour Itinerary:
Your trip starts with a presentation to learn about Whale behaviours and migratory patterns. You then head out on the ocean for a coastal tour, keeping an eye out for whales and maybe dolphins along the way. Niue Blue holds one of few whale watching licences on Niue offering a once in a lifetime experience while still adhering to all of the strict rules and regulations protecting these amazing animals. We are also the only operator in Niue with a hydrophone speaker system that allows all guests onboard to listen to the hauntingly beautiful whale songs. It is also common to be able to listen to beautiful whale songs while snorkelling in the water.

We do encourage participants for our whale tour to have a general level of fitness and mobility and we try our best to be able to get customers into the water to be able to swim and snorkel with the whales, however if there is also a lot of surface activity (with breaching etc). We will assess the behaviour and determine if it is safe or not to be in the water next to them. The whale regulations are strict and are there to protect the whales in Niue, we always have the whale's best interest in mind when interacting with them. So if the behaviour is not conducive with swimming activity we quite often get an impressive topside display, but normally move on to find some other whales that are more relaxed. During the months of August and September they are consistently around... but they are wild animals so we can never guarantee anything!!!
