Its peaceful rural location is just seven minutes from Norfolk Island’s main shopping precinct, Burnt Pine, the Kingston and Arthur’s Vale Historic Area and beautiful Emily Bay. The four self-contained cottages are set in stunning subtropical gardens with views across Norfolk’s lush green pastures towards Mount Pitt, the highest point of the island. 

The timber cottages are spacious and light-filled and can be configured as one or two bedrooms to comfortably accommodate between three and five guests, making them ideal for romantic getaways, small groups and extended families.

Decorated with authentic island art, each cottage has its own unique style. A breezy verandah stretches across the entire width of each cottage –a tranquil spot to enjoy views of the surrounding gardens.

Those gardens are filled with fresh produce which guests can use to create Norfolk Island inspired cuisine in their fully equipped kitchen. A generous welcome hamper is provided when you arrive to get you started.

The spacious, well-appointed cottages are designed for comfort and convenience, featuring free WiFi, a large north-facing verandah, ceiling fans, and a full kitchen with dishwasher plus tea and coffee facilities.

In a nod to Norfolk Island’s rich history, the cottages are named after some of the Pitcairn descendants who arrived on Norfolk Island on 8 June 1856 –Samuel McCoy, Betsy Young, Dinah Quintal and Phoebe Adams.

One-bedroom cottage: Trade Winds’ one-bedroom cottage sleeps up to three people. The spacious bedroom opens out to the open plan lounge and kitchen area, which in turn opens out to a breezy verandah where you can spend relaxing afternoons enjoying the scenery.

Two-bedroom cottage: Accommodating up to five people, these cottages feature two bedrooms each with its own spacious ensuite and walk-in robe. An open plan lounge and kitchen area at the centre of the cottage separates the two and opens out to a porch. A wide verandah stretches across the full width of the cottage.
