Tour Itinerary:

Experience one of Norfolk Island’s most meaningful and colourful annual traditions as the community comes together to commemorate the arrival of the Pitcairn Islanders in 1856.

The day begins in World Heritage-listed Kingston, where descendants of the original Pitcairn families gather in period dress to re-enact the landing of their forebears from the Morayshire. Guests can watch this deeply cherished tradition unfold against the historic Kingston landscape before enjoying morning tea and the celebrations that follow.

The experience continues with a traditional island picnic lunch, bringing together generous food, local hospitality and entertainment in a relaxed and festive atmosphere. It is a wonderful opportunity for visitors to witness a living tradition and gain a deeper appreciation of the heritage, family connections and community spirit that remain at the heart of Norfolk Island today.
