The Payten family, sixth generation descendants of the first ever settlers to call beautiful Lord Howe Island home, invites you to enjoy a relaxing holiday in the intimate surrounds of their family guesthouse set on 5 acres of beautiful Island property. Beachcomber Lodge is one of the original restored Island homesteads, secluded amongst tropical gardens and Kentia palms, with splashes of colour from fragrant frangipanis and hibiscus surrounding eight private, self-contained apartments.

A short stroll from Beachcomber down palm fringed roads will take you to either stunning Ned’s Beach, renowned for fish feeding and snorkeling, or Middle Beach, a secluded and private beach (and nearly always you will have this beach to yourself). Beachcomber is also located close to shops, cafes, restaurants, post office, all beaches, tours, attractions, and only minutes’ walk to the beginning of several bush walking tracks.

Beachcomber Lodge offer three room types: Studio apartments, One Bedroom Units, and a Family Cottage.

Studio Apartments: Lovely wooden floorboards giving a cosy feel with a private en suite bathroom and well equipped kitchenette, including microwave, electric fry pan, tea and coffee making facilities. This room also features a covered outdoor patio with outdoor furniture. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed and 1 Single Bed. The Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults.

One Bedroom Unit: These units feature a well equipped kitchenette, including microwave, electric fry pan, tea and coffee making facilities with a furnished private patio and a flat screen TV with DVD/CD player. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed and 1 Single Bed plus 1 Rollaway on request. The Maximum room capacity is 4 Adults or 2 Adults and 2 Children.

Family Cottage: Stand-alone 2 Bedroom Cottage with one bathroom (access from both bedrooms), a well equipped kitchen, a flat screen TV with DVD/CD player, private furnished patio in a lovely setting. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed and 2 Single Beds plus a Rollaway on request. The Maximum room capacity is 4 Adults or 2 Adults and 3 Children.
