If you are planning a romantic Fiji holiday, then trust in the experts at Spacifica Travel to help you and your partner book a tropical honeymoon getaway you will never forget. From floating bars to heavenly island cruises, these are the experiences and destinations that should be included in your Fiji travels

The Most Romantic Places to Stay in Fiji

One of the reasons why Fiji is such a popular honeymoon destination is because of the abundance of striking accommodation options that are ideal for couples. While there are plenty to choose from, here are some of our favourites:

  • Likuliku Lagoon Fiji - this couples only retreat features Fiji’s only overwater bures. Perfect for honeymooners seeking a sense of tranquillity and luxury.
  • Lomani Island Resort - given “Lomani” is the Fijian word for love, you can expect nothing short of pure romance from this couples only resort situated in the idyllic Mamanuca Islands.
  • Royal Davui Island Resort - this adults-only retreat is the perfect sanctuary to escape the everyday  and bask in newly married life in one of the resort’s 16 bungalows.
  • Yasawa Island Resort and Spa - hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Fiji’s towns and other resorts, this escape lets you and your spouse fully immerse yourselves in luxury and the island’s natural beauty.

By staying in any one of these destinations, you and your partner will surely start off married life on the right note.

Honeymoon Experiences in Fiji

Now that you have a romantic place for you and your new spouse to stay, what should you actually do during your travels to Fiji? Given Fiji is a nation comprising several dozen islands, you and your other half should consider booking a day cruise that lets you explore some of the country’s hidden corners. These cruises often stop at snorkelling spots so you can explore Fiji’s beautiful underwater world, and may even feature whale watching - depending on the time of year.

Cloud 9 is a bar and restaurant floating on top of a platform to the south of Malolo Island. It’s the perfect spot to spend a morning or afternoon eating, drinking, exploring the waters, and just soaking in the ambience of the gentle waves and warm sunshine.

For those honeymooners who prefer to stay on land, Bouma National Heritage Park is well worth exploring. This large rainforest park has a number of hiking trails that lead to some of Fiji’s most spectacular views - providing the perfect opportunity for unforgettable honeymoon photos.

The Best Time of Year to Visit Fiji for a Honeymoon

While you are likely going to book your honeymoon for soon after your wedding, there are certain times of the year that are best suited for Fiji holidays. The dry season of Fiji takes place between July and September, where temperatures are still warm enough to enjoy water-based activities, but there is less chance of your day being interrupted by rain or tropical storms.

However, this is also the peak tourist season in Fiji. If you want to avoid some of the crowds, we recommend you visit between October/November and March/April. While the humidity and chance of rain are slightly higher, the beaches, resorts, and main tourist attractions won’t be as filled with other tourists during this shoulder season.
