Sigatoka River Safari - Afternoon Tour

● Return mini-coach transfers from your resort to Sigatoka town

● 1 bottle of water for every passenger and a sulu (sarong) for ladies to wear while in the village
Tour Information:

● Tour departs Sigatoka Town at 1pm Monday - Saturday. Pick-ups from accommodation commence from 10:45am. Tour returns at 6:30pm.

What to bring:

● Sunglasses, sunscreen, camera, comfortable clothing and footwear, towel and change of clothes.

Note:

● Parents travelling with infants and young children to bring own snacks for for children to have along the way should they be hungry prior to arrival to the village.Tour Itinerary:
The mini-coach driver will pick you up from your resort and transfer you to the base in Sigatoka town. From there enjoy a 17km scenic cruise into the Sigatoka valley, discovering the fertile area known as the “salad bowl”of Fiji. Arrive at the departure point surrounded by Fijian natural beauty, here you are provided with your life jackets and safety briefing by your jet boat captain and then it’s time to board. As you begin your journey up the awe inspiring river you will hear about the history of the region, including its cannibal past! Children from the many villages that line the river wave as the boat cruises past and the water is so clear you will be able to see fish and rocks lining the river bottom. When you reach your village destination, you are given a warm welcome by the villagers. Sigatoka River Safari is careful to visit a different village every day, to minimise the impact of tourism on the village lifestyle in this remote part of the world. You will then visit the village Chief’s bure (house) or community hall and take part in a kava ceremony, before a tour of the village and a traditional Fijian lunch, including wonderful fresh tropical fruit. Your village visit ends with traditional Fijian singing and dancing and it’s time to board your jet boat again for the return trip.
