It is a genuine natural aquarium, a mecca for scuba divers from around the globe, and claimed by many as the richest and most beautiful lagoon in the world. Nestled in a coconut grove, Hotel Maitai Rangiroa is located between the passes of Avatoru and Tiputa, facing a magnificent lagoon with infinite tones of blues. From the resort pontoon, you can access directly some very nice snorkelling spots; the underwater show is just outstanding. The accommodation style is stand alone bungalows dotted throughout the resort gardens or on the beach. With traditional thatched roofs and a typical Polynesian decor the bungalows offer space, privacy and quality facilities.

The Maitai Rangiroa Hotel will undergo a phased renovation from mid-January to December 2026, focusing on lagoon, premium garden, and garden bungalows, while remaining fully operational throughout. All public areas, including reception, restaurant, and bar, will stay open as usual, with efforts made to minimize any disruption to guests.

● Phase 1: 15 January to 15 May 2026 renovation of the lagoon bungalows

● Phase 2: 1 April to 15 September 2026 renovation of the premium garden bungalows

● Phase 3: 20 August to 31 December 2026 renovation of the garden bungalows

Garden Bungalow

The Garden Bungalows are the lead in room at Maitai Rangiroa. Located within the tropical gardens of the resort you can take in the green scenery from the bungalow's private patio. Featuring a traditional Polynesian design with thatched roof and timber finishes the interior is spacious, comfortable and decorated in a tropical decor with bright colours.

Premium Garden Bungalow

The Premium Garden Bungalows are spacious with a traditional Polynesian design featuring a thatched roof, timber finishes and a bright tropical decor. Located within the grounds of the resort, these bunglows are slightly larger than the lead in option allowing you more space to relax and admire your exotic surrounds.

Lagoon Bungalow

Located right on the waterfront the traditional Tahitian-style Lagoon Bungalows offer stunning views of the waters of the lagoon. Sit back on your private patio and marvel at the shades on blue and the white sand of the beach in front of your bungalow. Inside the interior is spacious, comfortable and decorated in a tropical decor with bright colours.
