The peace and tranquility of deserted beaches, uninhabited islands to explore, whale encounters, world-class snorkeling, incredible diving and some of the best swimming beaches in the South Pacific. The Pacific style fales are absolute beachfront. Step off the covered terrace onto the sandy beach or meander through the lush tropical gardens to the main house, which contains the 24 hour reception, restaurant and bar. Matafunoa is located only 400m from its sister property Sandy Beach Resort on the quiet northern tip of Foa Island, only a short flight from the mainland. Please note the resort has shared toilet/shower facilities.

Accommodation

There are two types of accommodation at the resort consisting of four Standard Fales and six Family Fales.The Pacific style fales are absolute beachfront. Step off the covered terrace onto the sandy beach or meander through our lush tropical gardens to the main house, which contains the 24 hour reception, restaurant and bar. Matafonua Lodge has shared toilet/shower facilities. The bathrooms are centrally located in the resort are clean and spacious with a solar hot water system.

Family Fale:  Beachfront Pacific style fales with two bedrooms. The resort has shared toilet/shower facilities. The bathrooms are centrally located in the resort are clean and spacious with a solar hot water system. Bedding is 1 King Bed and 2 Single Beds, 2 Kings Beds or 4 Singles Beds. The Maximum room capacity is 4 Adults or 2 Adults & 4 Children.
