This is a guided tour which begins at your hotel or point of pick up. Your transport will pick you up to begin your trip by travelling westward from Honiara to Vila Village, which takes approximately 45 minutes. From here you will board an outboard motorised canoe for a short trip (around 30 minutes) over Iron Bottom Sound to Savo Island. Your trip will land at Sunset Lodge where you will be met by your local guide who will take you on the organised tour to view the megapod fields, waterfall, hot springs, or a hike to the crater of the volcano.
