Tour Itinerary:
This guided tour has been designed to include scenes of the Battle of Guadalcanal, especially the areas held by the Japanese Imperial Forces in their efforts to regain Henderson Field, which was originally built by Japanese forces using Korean labourers and Solomon Islanders. Enroute you will drive past Kakabona Village, Poha River, Bonegi Wreck, Tasifarongo, and end the tour at the Outdoor Vilu War Museum. Most of the drive will be through coconut plantation and along the western coast of Guadalcanal with Savo Island, Florida Islands and Iron Bottom Sound on your right as you move westward. On the way back you can stop at Bonegi Beach for lunch (bring your own), an ideal spot for snorkelling.
