Accommodation

Matava - Fiji... Untouched has accommodation for up to 22 guests in green tropical surroundings. Accommodation is in traditional thatched Fijian 'bures', featuring polished timber floors, louvre windows, four poster beds and private decks.

Oceanview Bure: Oceanview Bures are scattered on a slight hill beside Matava to ensure privacy and easy access to the main bure complex and facilities. Built in the traditional thatched Fijian style and finely finished with polished timber floors, large airy louver windows, Queen size timber beds, locally farmed mahogany furnishings and en-suit bathrooms. Fully insect screened windows open onto your private sun deck with views out across the lagoon. Solar power provides hot water as well as lighting. Mains power is available through the evenings for charging electronic devices and for the use of a ceiling fan during the summer months. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed. Maximum room capacity is 2 Adults. Additional bedding and extra person rates are available on request.

Honeymoon Bure: Honeymoon Bures are scattered widely on the hill behind Matava to ensure complete privacy and stunning vistas. Built in the traditional thatched Fijian style and finely finished with polished mahogany timber floors, they have large airy louvre windows, King Size timber beds and private sun decks. The expansive full length picture windows open onto your private deck with views across the lagoon  and Great Astrolabe Barrier Reef.  The Honeymoon Bures are each nestled in their own nook in the rainforest to offer privacy, comfort and superb Pacific ocean views. Bures private en-suit bathrooms and expansive private sun decks. Solar power provides night lighting for night time reading and comfort. Hot water is supplied to all the bures by our eco-friendly Solar Hot Water system. Mains power is available in the evenings for charging electrical devices as well as powering ceiling fans during the summer months. Bedding is 1 King Bed. Maximum room capacity is 2 Adults.

Dining

Meals are included in the room rates and consist of a continental style breakfast, lunch and a dinner. At Matava the belief is that all meals should be a dining experience of incredible flavors and creations. Matava dedicates its kitchen to producing outstanding and inspiring meals from locally organically grown ingredients, picked for use that day. Each day you’re treated with a variety of distinctive and delicious hand crafted gourmet meals that reflect local produce and seasonal delicacies.

Day Spa

The Bamboo Spa: What better way to relax then at the day spa at Matava. The spa uses Pure Fiji products during treatments. Relax and unwind with one of the many massages, facials, body wraps or manicures.

Getting There

Daily flights depart from either Nadi or Nausori airports, followed by a boat transfer from Kadavu Airstrip to Matava Resort.
