Things for Kids to do in Fiji

Kula Eco Park

Kula Eco Park or otherwise known as Kula Wild Adventure Park is located on a 28 acre property near Sigatoka, with 12 acres of coastal forest open to visitors. With almost a kilometre of bridges, walkways and rest areas, the park provides visitors with the opportunity to explore at your own pace, and get close and personal with wild animals, marine life and reptiles in comfortable and safe surroundings. The park is open 7 days a week from 10am to 4:30pm, and afterwards, visitors can head to Splash Mountain or fly high on Kula Krazy Canopy Flier – the only rollercoaster Zip Rail in Fiji.

Sleeping Giant Zipline

Adventurous kids will love the Sleeping Giant Zipline, an eco-friendly Adventure Park featuring 5 zip lines, 2 waterfalls and a Jungle Safari! Kids can zip through Fiji’s pristine tropical rainforests and waterfalls with some zips as long as 160 metres, where they can fly as fast as 60km per hour. Kids must be a minimum age of 4 years old and a minimum weight of 23kg to participate, and children under 6 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Don’t forget to wear suitable clothing, closed toe shoes, swimsuits and bring your camera to capture the fun!

Whale’s Tale

Jump on board the “Whale’s Tale” cruise for a relaxing day out sailing! Kids are able to kick back with their family, discover the underwater paradise and stroll along private sandy shores on a full fun day out. The tour also includes a delicious BBQ lunch on the beach and free use of snorkelling gear including fins and masks in case the kids want to jump in and explore the ocean!

Seaplane Dolphin Watching Tour

For something a little bit different – families can take the kids on Seaplane sightseeing! The Seaplane Dolphin Watching Tour operates on Tuesdays and departs from Nadi Domestic Airport. The tour includes transfers from Nadi hotels and a 90 minute return seaplane ride with an amazing sightseeing experience - dolphin watching from the air over the interior of Viti Levu, before arriving at Moon Reef to have some fun with Spinner Dolphins. Kids can snorkel and enjoy their marine surroundings before heading to Takalana Bay Resort for lunch and handicrafts. Fijian food and the fresh catch of the day is on the lunch menu – yum! The whole tour runs for about 6 hours and you get the spectacular flight back to Nadi for an overall memorable experience.

Robinson Crusoe Island Cruise

This island cruise teaches kids so much about Fijian culture while enjoying a sunset Jungle Cruise to the island. This tour operates Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and runs for about 4 hours in total from 5pm. This educational tour takes guests to the heart of Fiji’s rich history where they get to learn and experience the regions beautiful traditions and unforgettable customs. A welcome kava ceremony will greet you and a Fijian “lovo” (earthoven) buffet is waiting to fill your bellies. Families get to witness fire walking demonstrations, enjoy South Pacific performances featuring Fiji’s best fire and knife dancers and an island bonfire with string serenaders. This experience will definitely be remembered for a lifetime!

Jet Boating Adventures

Families with the older kids (this one is not advisable for the younger kids!) could always give Fiji Jet Boating a try! The tour includes transfers from selected Nadi town hotels and runs for a full day Monday to Saturday. Young thrill seekers enjoy a unique and breathtaking ride through amazing gorges on Fiji’s most scenic Navua River - past villages, farms and cascading waterfalls. Families also get to enjoy inflatable rafting down rapids, magic waterfall swims and learn more about Fiji’s culture and rich history! Visitors also get to visit a Fijian village and enjoy a Fijian style BBQ lunch – a memorable experience filled with adventure, culture and fun in the one day.
