Tropical-styled Beachside Rooms are less than a minute’s casual stroll to the water’s edge of Aroa Lagoon Marine Sanctuary but are not located directly on the beach. Located in The Rarotongan’s 400 and 500 villages, half of the Beachside Rooms are on the ground floor with the other half on the first floor with high vaulted ceilings and high-angle views –but still no taller than a coconut tree! Beachside Rooms can be confirmed as interconnecting at time of booking, which is a real boon for families and family groups holidaying together. Beachside Rooms offer the full range of standard in-room features and services and are a great-value option offering full access to The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Lagoonarium’s great range of facilities and amenities.

The Beachfront Rooms are located on absolute beachfront, enjoying views across the white sandy beach and crystal-clear blue lagoon, as well as beautiful views of the island’s stunning tropical sunsets, due to The Rarotongan’s prime location on the island’s sunshine and sunset coast, on Rarotonga’s stunning southwest shores. The Beachfront Rooms offer the full range of our standard features and services, and are located in our 300 village at the western end of Aroa Beach. Half of these standard guest rooms are on ground level, the other half are on a second storey. Which one is better depends on whether you prefer direct access to the beach from your verandah, or a vaulted ceiling and views across the beach and lagoon from your upper-storey deck. Whatever the case, if a room with a view is important to you –and what a view! –then one of our Beachfront Rooms is ideal.

Located beachside on the sands of Aroa Beach, close to the water’s edge (but without a full direct sea view), the Deluxe Suites are light, spacious, modern accommodations with a delightful tropical ambience. All Deluxe Suites are at ground level and feature a whirlpool spa bath, private open-air outdoor shower and a romantic 4-poster master bed. The Deluxe Beachside Suites differ from the Deluxe Beachfront Suites in their aspect to the lagoon, with the Deluxe Beachside Suites being close to the beach but at an angle not affording a full direct sea view.

Located on absolute beachfront directly on the white sands of Aroa Beach, with a direct view of Aroa Lagoon Marine Sanctuary, the Deluxe Beachfront Suites are light, spacious, modern accommodations with a delightful tropical ambience and expansive lagoon views. All Deluxe Beachfront Suites are just steps away from the water’s edge, and all are at beach (ground) level. These lovely suites feature a private open-air outdoor shower, indoor walk-in shower, and a romantic 4-poster master bed.

The extra-spacious open-plan interior features terracotta tiles throughout, a 4-poster King Bed, bathroom with shower, private open-air shower, full kitchen (with breakfast bar, microwave, stovetop, refrigerator, and tea & coffee making facilities), dining and sitting areas with flat-screen TV. The expansive verandah offers excellent indoor-outdoor flow and leads directly onto Aroa Beach. A private upper sundeck features fabulous views.

The Honeymoon Pool & Spa Bungalow features a unique design with a broad wraparound verandah and a high-pitched thatched roof providing a fabulous sense of space and island romance. Nestled in a completely secluded, lush tropical garden, this is your own private paradise, complete with your own private pool and sauna (for this reason the Honeymoon Pool & Spa Bungalow is not recommended for children and infants who are not competent swimmers). Featuring a King Bed, elegant polished tropical wooden floors, rattan-lined walls, tropical-styled furniture, TV, privately-commissioned lighting laced with black pearl shell, open-air shower, outdoor ‘starlet’spa bath on the verandah, and spacious bathroom with rain tree vanity top and over-sized double basins, the Honeymoon Pool & Spa Bungalow offers an incredible sense of freedom with spectacular indoor-outdoor flow through four wide openings onto the verandah, and the broad encircling deck means that sun-lovers can follow the sun all day in complete privacy. This wonderfully secluded, romantic bungalow provides easy access to the lagoon via a private gateway tracing a sandy path to the white sand beach and blue lagoon. This is the ultimate honeymoon hide-away.

These two suites feature a master bedroom with 4-poster king bed which opens out onto the verandah, a second bedroom with two single beds or two bunk beds, a full kitchen (including microwave, stovetop, refrigerator, tea/coffee making facilities), a tiled bathroom with spa bath/shower, separate toilet, and a sitting and dining room which opens out onto a spacious verandah. The sitting room is equipped with satellite TV, sofa, armchairs, dining table and chairs that can be used for dining inside or al fresco. The 2-Bedroom Beachside Suites also feature two separate individually controlled air conditioning units in the sitting room and hallway.

For families with up to 4 children, The Rarotongan Beach Resort & Lagoonarium now offers a 2-bedroom option with kitchen –set directly on the stunning white sands of Aroa Beach! The new 2-Bedroom Grand Beachfront Suites offer a master bedroom with 4-poster bed and TV, a children’s bedroom with its own TV for up to 4 children to age 16 inclusive, indoor bathroom with shower, and a separate private open-air shower for that glorious Polynesian-style showering experience. There’s a lounge and dining room with its own TV and great beach and lagoon views, and the kitchen features a breakfast bar, refrigerator with freezer compartment, stovetop, microwave, and tea/coffee making facilities.
