Day 1 (Friday):  Kia Orana! Welcome to the Cook Islands. Upon arrival in Rarotonga you are taken to your Resort. Your introduction to Rarotonga will be a night to remember! You are booked in for a Spectacular Overwater Night Show & Dinner at Te Vara Nui Village in Muri Beach.

Day 2 (Saturday): Today is left open for you to explore!
Recommendations: Visit Punanga Nui Cultural Market in the morning, snorkel at Titekaveka Beach & enjoy one of Rarotonga spectacular sunsets, with an early dinner reservation at Manuia Beach Resort’s OTB Restaurant for a barefoot luxury dining experience.

Day 3 (Sunday): Enjoy a relaxing morning, followed by Captain Tama's Lagoon Cruise from 10am. Tour the inner lagoon of Rarotonga in a glass bottom boat, stop at the marine reserve for some coral viewing and snorkelling, followed by a BBQ fish lunch on Koromiri Island on Muri Lagoon.  Your tour guide will entertain you during lunch with a pareu (sarong) tying demonstration and some of the local traditions.       

Day 4 (Monday): Today you will enjoy Pa's Cross Island Trek, an exhilarating walk through tree covered jungle with informative guides sharing the history, flora and fauna of the area. From the Needle, Rarotonga’s highest peak, breathtaking views can be seen from one side of the island to the other. End your 3 hour walk with a refreshing swim at Wigmore's water fall.  
AlternativeTake a Storytellers Eco Cycle Discover Tour. Discover a rich cultural heritage along the Ancient Coral Road – Ara Metua. Meander along lane ways witnessing the tranquil pace of local village life. With plenty of stops to take in the magnificent mountain scenery, you’ll hear stories that will bring a deeper meaning to the observations you make. The ride is predominantly on level terrain covering a distance of around 8 - 12km on mainly sealed roads. You’ll ride on and off over a leisurely 3 hours finishing up with a delicious local lunch and opportunity to swim at beautiful secluded beach.

Day 5 (Tuesday): A day at leisure.
Recommendations: Take advantage of the The Edgewater Resort & Spa’s beachfront location & facilities! Snorkel in the lagoon, have a game of tennis or just sip a refreshing cocktail while you enjoy a book! If you want to try a local favourite, head to Moorings Café for a fish sandwich at lunch time or chill during the day and visit the Muri Night Market for Dinner!

Day 6 (Wednesday): Today you are headed to Aitutaki for a day trip to remember! You will be picked up from your resort and take the short flight to this beautiful island. On arrival at Aitutaki you will be taken on a one hour island tour of the main island of Aitutaki by 'le truck'. Then it's on to the highlight of the day – The Vaka Cruise aboard the 21 metre vaka (catamaran) Titi-ai-Tonga. The vaka has comfortable covered seating as well as deck sun loungers. There is time for snorkelling and swimming before stopping for a tasty barbecue lunch, cooked right on board. The cruise stops at several motu (small islets) including One Foot Island, where you can have the iconic “foot” stamp in your passport.

Day 7 (Thursday): It’s time to say good bye – today you fly home. We hope you enjoyed your holiday to the Cook Islands. Meitaki Mata!

Beachfront Deluxe Suite: Magnificent sea views and magical sunsets are a standard feature of every beachfront deluxe suite at The Edgewater Resort & Spa Rarotonga. Our Cook Islands beach resort has 60 beachfront deluxe suites; these are the resort’s signature rooms and are located just metres from the water’s edge at the private northern end of the resort. These spacious beachfront suites offer stunning views of the white sandy beach, sparkling lagoon and coral reef beyond. Beautifully appointed and with a private balcony, each suite offers a high standard of accommodation to those travellers wanting to enjoy their holiday in comfort and style. Along with the standard resort features and services, the en-suite bathroom comes complete with a romantic spa bath and separate shower. Mal’s Bar: Mal’s Bar is open from 10.00am to midnight and offers a fine collection of international wines, local and imported beers and spirits, as well as a range of juices and exotic tropical cocktails. 

The Brasserie: Set right on the water’s edge, next to Mal’s Bar, with a view of the swimming pool and the turquoise lagoon. You can relax in the refreshing ocean breeze, under an outdoor Are (hut) with a traditional styled thatched roof and enjoy the snack menu. Each night of the week boasts a unique themed menu and a buffet dinner with live entertainment from Rarotonga’s best bands and entertainers.

Island Feast: You won’t want to miss our twice-weekly Island Feast & Cultural Dance Shows, held on Tuesday and Saturday, featuring delectable local dishes and exhilarating live entertainment. Our mouth-watering buffet feast includes an exciting selection of Rarotongan dishes such as rukau, our local spinach made from the young leaves of the taro plant and steamed in coconut cream, ika mata, a traditional Cook Islands dish of marinated raw fish served with coconut cream, a selection of fish dishes, tender roast pork, and a range of delectable desserts to choose from. 

The Edgewater's Spaghetti House Pizzeria & Grill: Indulge in the rich tastes of Italy at the Spaghetti House, located at our Rarotonga resort’s entrance off the main road. Open 7 nights from 5.00pm to 9.30pm, the Spaghetti House Pizzeria and Grill has a relaxing, laidback atmosphere to complement its authentic Italian cuisine.
