Operates daily. Departs at 8.30am and returns at 4.30pm.

Tour Itinerary:
If you love wildlife, rainforests and adventure, this full day tour is for you. The adventure starts by turning off the main road just before Port Olry and travelling through rough dirt tracks and mountain villages before reaching the isloated village of Matantas (approx 1.5hrs), on the shores of magnificent Big Bay north Santo. Meet local guides and set off into the rainforest, part of the massive Vatthe Conservation Area, Vanuatu's only recognised 'national park'. Discover massive banyan trees, giant fruit bats and rare birds. The walk takes approx. 2 hours before returning to Matantas where you can cool down in the nearby river or relax on the black sand volcanic beach. On the way back to town stop in at beautiful Lonnoc Beach for a swim and a snorkel (optional lunch/drinks available here from a local restaurant or you can bring your own). Sturdy walking shoes, mosquito repellent and plenty of water is a must for this tour, along with a sense of adventure.
