The ‘Cross Island Trek’ is a three hour walk taking you from one side of Rarotonga to the other.  With no nasty snakes or spiders to bother you, you can hit the tracks and explore tropical jungles, mountain peaks and stunning waterfalls by foot or mountain bike.

Think Beach!

Crystal clear waters, dazzling white sand beaches and blue lagoons filled with an abundance of marine life demand your attention. Along with your usual beach comforts of hat, sunnies, reef shoes and environmentally friendly sunscreen, we recommend bringing a waterproof phone case on a lanyard, go-pro or underwater camera to capture your marine memories with ease. Get some great footage of the underwater marine activity whilst swimming or snorkelling. Also handy for when you’re exploring the islands by kayak, canoe or stand up paddle board; easy to hang your phone around your neck and take action shots or selfies - sure to be the envy of all your friends back home at work.

Think Nature!

The Cook Islands offers a diverse range of outdoor activities to enjoy and whilst enjoying the beauty, it is wise to include some additional ‘just in case’ items in your luggage. We recommend packing insect repellent, stop itch cream and long cotton clothing which is also great for sun protection. Doesn’t take up much room and you may be thankful you have it on hand.

Think Family!

Seeing the world through the eye of a child is priceless! Ignite their creative side and pack an old phone or camera for the kids. Give them free reign to take snap shots, write little memories and build their own Cook Islands travel journal. They can even start on the plane - you will be amazed to see what captures their eye each day.
