Day 1 – Saturday 11 January 2025: Brisbane to Norfolk Island (D)
This morning, meet your dedicated guide at Brisbane International Airport before taking a Qantas flight to picturesque Norfolk Island. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your accommodation for the next seven nights. Check-in at Governor’s Lodge. Tonight, dinner will be at Bailey’s Restaurant at Governor’s Lodge where you’ll enjoy a 3 course dinner.

Day 2 – Sunday 12 January 2025: Markets, Bumboras Bay & 3 Course Dinner (B,D)
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the markets to enjoy local arts and crafts and mingle with locals. Following this grab something to eat (own expense) to bring along to explore the beautiful beach of Bumboras Bay (you’re your swimmers if you wish to swim). Enjoy some free time this late afternoon and get ready for your 3 course dinner at Bailey’s Restaurant.

Day 3 – Monday 13 January 2025: Bounty Folk Museum & Island Culture Lunch (B,L,)
Begin your morning with a visit to the Bounty Folk Museum. You will discover the amazing story of Norfolk Island in this quirky museum. The Bounty Folk Museum is a treasure chest of history, an Aladdin’s cave full of fantastic collections, excellent learning resources and inspiring information stretching back to 1788. The Bounty Folk Museum is the people's museum of Norfolk Island, and is located in one of Norfolk Island's oldest shops built in 1918.
Then join the Island Culture tour and enjoy a delicious traditional lunch at Taveners Farm. Learn about the cooking traditions that came to the Norfolk Islanders from their Tahitian foremothers and ancestors of old. Lou, your host, is a renowned good cook who’ll give you a scrumptious lunch you’ll really enjoy. Hear about the Norf’k Language; what it is and how the Islanders are working to preserve it. Lou is a Norfolk Islander with many years working in the provision of Norf’k langwig stories, plays, songs and games for the school and online and in plays and events for the community.
Dinner is at your leisure this evening, ask your tour leader for suggestions!

Day 4 – Tuesday 14 January 2025: Island Life Tour & Hilli Restaurant 2 Course Dinner (B,T,L,D)
Spend your morning on the Island Life Tour. You will spend a delightful day touring Norfolk Island, gaining a true insight into the intricate nature of modern island life. Morning tea and lunch will be included in this tour. Your afternoon is at leisure before a relaxing 2 course dinner at the Hilli Restaurant.

Day 5 – Wednesday 15 January 2025: Captain Cook, Emily Bay & Women of Norfolk Tour (B,T,D)
Enjoy breakfast then take a trip to Captain Cook lookout followed by a picnic down at Emily Bay. Emily Bay is stunning with its clear blue water and pristine sand, pack swimmers for a quick dip, or enjoy a walk around the bay.
This afternoon learn about the captivating stories of Norfolk Island's exceptional women who have played a pivotal role and helped shape history on the Women of Norfolk Tour. Enjoy your afternoon with a BBQ in a scenic location. The Scenic BBQ is an alfresco experience at a scenic location. This is an opportunity to taste the local beef and side dishes. You will be serenaded by a local entertainer surrounded by Norfolk's beauty.

Day 6 – Thursday 16 January 2025: Natural Wonders Tour & Island Fish Fry (B,D)
After breakfast join The Natural Wonders of Norfolk Island Tour. Explore the island’s geological marvels in all their natural beauty. These spectacular formations are a result from the island's volcanic creation, three million years ago.
Tonight enjoy Norfolk traditions at the Island Fish Fry – a feast of local island dishes and entertainment while the sun sets from scenic 'Orn Daa Cliff' on Norfolk’s beautiful western coastline.

Day 7 – Friday 17 January 2025: Lavender Farm, Hundred Acres Reserve & Night as a Convict (B,D)
The Lavender Farm Tour is the first stop on your itinerary today. Your private tour includes an informative talk on the farm's journey and challenges importing bare rooted plants into the island and setting up Norfolk Island's first ever Lavender Farm. Enjoy an easy walk round the farm with the owner/s and learn about the 15 different lavender varieties that have been planted. You’ll also see the other commercial plantings of sage, rosemary, rose geranium, sunflowers and other vegetables that are grown on Fitzy’s Farm for use in the ‘paddock to plate’ farm experience. Grab one of their famous baked potatoes (own expense) to bring along to the Hundred Acres Reserve where you can sit and enjoy it under the beautiful trees and nature.
Get ready for a fun night at Night as a Convict! Dress as a convict and join in with the Commandant for an evening of gaiety, feasting, singing and dancing. Great food and great fun!

Day 8 – Saturday 18 January 2025: Farewell to Norfolk Island (B)
Enjoy your last hours on the island before preparing to head home. Be transferred to the airport for your Brisbane flight. Lunch at own arrangement.

ACCOMMODATION

All cabins have a lounge and dining area, private bathroom and separate bedroom with built in wardrobes, a king bed and plenty of space. For a little extra, consider upgrading to one of the Deluxe Cabins which are larger, have an extra deck at the rear with sweeping valley views, a double spa bath in the bathroom and lots of extra bonus comforts.

One Bedroom Cabin with Balcony: Well appointed, the one bedroom cabins each have a separate bedroom from the lounge, front balcony and off-street parking. Cabins are stand alone and are surrounded by lush gardens with easy access to all the resort facilities. A wheelchair friendly room is available.

Deluxe One Bedroom Cabin with Balcony: This cabin offers the best views on the property. Each has one bedroom, separate from the lounge, plus a spa bath and a private back verandah. There are four Deluxe Cabins.

DINING

Governor’s Lodge offer delicious options throughout the day, from breakfast, lunch and dinner through to snacks. Where possible, the property showcases the sensational local produce. All areas are fully licenced.

Bailey’s Restaurant: This beautifully restored house is the iconic centrepiece of Governor’s Lodge. Bailey’s offers a charming homestead atmosphere while delivering quality modern cuisine from an a la carte menu. Bailey’s is a classy dining destination offering the same welcoming warmth and hospitality that you enjoy throughout this resort. Reservations are recommended. Open for dinner 7 days a week from 5pm until late. 

The Boatshed: Dining is a relaxed affair as you kick off your day with a café style breakfast under the sails of the marquee, or return for a relaxed lunch. This area is also used for functions. Open for breakfast daily 7am – 10am, and lunch daily from 12 noon – 2pm.

Lounge Bar & Café: Located directly behind reception, and offering a wide range of casual dine-in or take-away options. Enjoy a freshly ground barista style coffee, grab a quick bite from the display cabinet, some snacks for the afternoon, or a chilled wine or beer. Open daily from 9am – 5pm.

SUSTAINABILITY

Governor’s Lodge prides themselves on being Norfolk Island’s first environmentally sustainable hotel, ideal for guests wishing to minimise their carbon footprint. The solar power system generates a significant 52Kw of renewable electricity, feeding excess back into the island’s grid, and the on-site pure rainwater filtration system has an impressive two million litre storage capacity.

CONFERENCE FACILITIES

Governor’s Lodge has a conference room which can be configured to suit various requirements and functionality such as corporate functions, workshops, breakfast seminars, and theatre events. The facility is equipped with a large visual display screen, laptop to screen projection, inbuilt sound system, internet access and toilets. The Reception Conference Room seats 40-48 configured in banquet style, and 80 in theatre style.
