Day 1 – Saturday 18 October 2025: Brisbane to Norfolk Island (D)
This morning, meet your dedicated guide at Brisbane International Airport before taking a Qantas flight to picturesque Norfolk Island. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your accommodation, Governor’s Lodge for the next seven nights. A welcome dinner awaits you in Governor’s Lodge Boatshed Restaurant.  
 
Day 2 –Sunday 19 October 2025: Island Life Tour (B, T & L) 
Begin your morning after breakfast with the Island Life Coach Tour. Spend a delightful morning touring Norfolk Island, gaining a true insight into the intricate nature of modern island life. Hear how islanders were born, educated, find work and careers. Visit some of the must-see spots on the island and enjoy morning tea and a two course, island-style lunch. Enjoy free time this afternoon before heading to the Salty Beer Garden for live music and happy hour. Dinner is at own arrangements.
 
Day 3 – Monday 20 October 2025: Paddock to Plate (B, L & D) 
After breakfast, this morning visit a market garden that supplies vegetables to the island and learn about providing seasonal produce. Tour a farm with beef cattle to understand the unique farming practices on Norfolk Island. Next, visit a free-range chicken farm and learn how they supply the island with farm fresh eggs. The final stop is at a local home for a delicious two-course lunch featuring local ingredients. Enjoy free time this afternoon before walking across the road to Hilli Restaurant & Café for a two-course dinner. Hilli is one of Norfolk’s iconic restaurants offering a variety of cuisines and a welcoming atmosphere which reflects the very meaning of the name “Hilli” – Hilli is a Norfolk expression meaning “disinclined to exertion, relax, take it easy and unwind.”
 
Day 4 – Tuesday 21 October 2025: Cyclorama, Bailey’s Tea Party- Invite Only & Island Fish Fry (B, H & D) 
After breakfast, take a leisurely stroll across the road to explore Fletcher’s Mutiny Cyclorama and the Norfolk Island Art Gallery. This stunning 360° panoramic painting offers a unique and immersive way to experience the history of the Bounty mutineers. Lunch is at own arrangement. This afternoon, we invite you to partake in the long-established favourite of afternoon tea with our local guest speakers. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with a glass of wine, followed by a selection of tea or coffee, complemented by an array of sweet and savoury delicacies. Free time this afternoon to prepare for the Island Fish Fry. Throughout the evening take in the breathtaking coastal scenery as the sun sets and listen to live music and entertainment from Baunti Byuutis dancing group.
 
Day 5 – Wednesday 22 October 2025: Lavender Farm, Women of Norfolk & Progressive Dinner (B & D)
Enjoy a leisurely morning at your own pace before heading to the Norfolk Island Lavender Farm. Take a relaxing stroll through the farm, where you’ll also discover other commercial plantings, including Sage, Rosemary, Rose Geranium, Sunflowers, and a variety of vegetables. Lunch is at your own arrangement at the Lavender Farm, they offer a wonderful opportunity to indulge in local homemade delights, including their famous lavender gelato. This afternoon, join and learn about the captivating stories of Norfolk Island's exceptional women who have played a pivotal role and helped shape its history. Walk in the footsteps of these extraordinary women who have triumphed over adversity and significantly shaped the Norfolk community. After a short break, freshen up for the Progressive Dinner, a three-course dinner progressing through three island homes. Chat with fellow diners and soak in the stories of your islander hosts.
 
Day 6 – Thursday 23 October 2025: Hundred Acres Reserve & Local Cooking Demonstration – Invite only (B, FT & D)
Enjoy a stroll through the gorgeous Hundred Acres Reserve. This is a must do while you are visiting. A walking track through the reserve leads to Rocky Point spoiling you with views from the cliffs. After this, embark on a special invite only cooking demonstration with food taste and welcome drinks. This Norfolk Island special cooking demonstration is run by Jo and Ernie who are the authors of “Island Style Cook, Live & Eat” cookbook. You will also get this cookbook as a gift. Tonight, savour a delightful 2-course à la carte dinner at The Homestead restaurant, located in a 1930s island home adjacent to Hundred Acre Reserve and the giant Moreton Bay Figs. 
 
Day 7 – Friday 24 October 2025: Bounty Folk Museum, Kingston & Arthur’s Vale (B, L & D)
After breakfast, visit Norfolk Island Bounty Folk Museum. This is a treasure chest of history, an Aladdin’s cave full of fantastic collections, stretching back through the years to 1788. This afternoon, explore the areas of convict incarceration led by a guide with knowledgeable commentary. Enjoy a walk through the cultural landscape earlier occupied by the military and civil population of the colonial era. Enjoy dinner this evening at Bailey’s restaurant.

Day 8 – Saturday 25 October 2025: Farewell to Norfolk Island (B)
Sadly your Norfolk Island Tour ends today, enjoy your last hours on the island before preparing to head home. Be transferred to the airport for your Brisbane flight. Lunch at own arrangement.

Be welcomed at Governor’s Lodge, a resort-style property located a short two minute drive, or within easy walking distance to Burnt Pine township. The property has 55 individual one-bedroom cabins set among 12 acres of landscaped subtropical gardens dotted with majestic Norfolk pine trees, hibiscus and native shrubs. On-site there’s three dining venues, a pool, heated spa and a guest laundry. The sites of historic Kingston and idyllic Emily Bay are only a short drive away. Governor’s Lodge is the perfect base for a memorable Norfolk Island holiday.

ACCOMMODATION

All cabins have a lounge and dining area, private bathroom and separate bedroom with built in wardrobes, a king bed and plenty of space. For a little extra, consider upgrading to one of the Deluxe Cabins which are larger, have an extra deck at the rear with sweeping valley views, a double spa bath in the bathroom and lots of extra bonus comforts.

One Bedroom Cabin with Balcony: Well appointed, the one bedroom cabins each have a separate bedroom from the lounge, front balcony and off-street parking. Cabins are stand alone and are surrounded by lush gardens with easy access to all the resort facilities. A wheelchair friendly room is available.

Deluxe One Bedroom Cabin with Balcony: This cabin offers the best views on the property. Each has one bedroom, separate from the lounge, plus a spa bath and a private back verandah. There are four Deluxe Cabins.

DINING

Governor’s Lodge offer delicious options throughout the day, from breakfast, lunch and dinner through to snacks. Where possible, the property showcases the sensational local produce. All areas are fully licenced.

Bailey’s Restaurant: This beautifully restored house is the iconic centrepiece of Governor’s Lodge. Bailey’s offers a charming homestead atmosphere while delivering quality modern cuisine from an a la carte menu. Bailey’s is a classy dining destination offering the same welcoming warmth and hospitality that you enjoy throughout this resort. Reservations are recommended. Open for dinner 7 days a week from 5pm until late. 

The Boatshed: Dining is a relaxed affair as you kick off your day with a café style breakfast under the sails of the marquee, or return for a relaxed lunch. This area is also used for functions. Open for breakfast daily 7am – 10am, and lunch daily from 12 noon – 2pm.

Lounge Bar & Café: Located directly behind reception, and offering a wide range of casual dine-in or take-away options. Enjoy a freshly ground barista style coffee, grab a quick bite from the display cabinet, some snacks for the afternoon, or a chilled wine or beer. Open daily from 9am – 5pm.

SUSTAINABILITY

Governor’s Lodge prides themselves on being Norfolk Island’s first environmentally sustainable hotel, ideal for guests wishing to minimise their carbon footprint. The solar power system generates a significant 52Kw of renewable electricity, feeding excess back into the island’s grid, and the on-site pure rainwater filtration system has an impressive two million litre storage capacity.

CONFERENCE FACILITIES

Governor’s Lodge has a conference room which can be configured to suit various requirements and functionality such as corporate functions, workshops, breakfast seminars, and theatre events. The facility is equipped with a large visual display screen, laptop to screen projection, inbuilt sound system, internet access and toilets. The Reception Conference Room seats 40-48 configured in banquet style, and 80 in theatre style.
