The Edgewater Resort & Spa has been offering a warm Polynesian welcome to visiors to the Cook Isalnds for over 40 years. Garden Room: The Garden Rooms are spotted through the 6 acre’s of lush gardens at The Edgewater, a short walk to the reception and only 50m from the beach area. They unite a refreshed Polynesian style decor with the standard features you come to expect of a resort property. Most rooms in this category offer an interconnecting option which provides peace of mind and great value for holidaying families. 

Garden Superior Room: With a position that allows guests to make the most of the afternoon sun, The Edgewater’s Garden Superior Rooms are sitauted amongst the hibiscus and frangipani blooms in the gardens. They are slightly nearer to the sapphire-blue lagoon but still provide the same features and interconnectivity of the standard Garden Rooms. 

Lagoon View Room: Located only metres from the edge of the lagoon, these rooms enjoy either the stunning view of the white sandy beaches or overlook the beautiful pool. From here you can fall sofly asleep to the sound of the sea and wake to the scent of tropical flowers wafting by. Located over three levels, the Lagoon View Rooms offer the same facilities as the lead in room categories, although interconnecting Lagoon View Rooms are available only on request.

Beachfront Rooms: This catgory offers magical sea views and prime positioning for sunsets. The Edgewater has over 60 of these signature rooms at the northern end of the property, each having i’s own private balcony, en-suite bathroom with romantic spa bath and separate shower, and 180 degree water views. These rooms are an excellent option for couples or honeymooners looking for romantic, spacious, quality accommodation within an affordable resort setting. The ground floor rooms of the Pukapuka Suites have disabled access.

Three Bedroom Villas: At the northernmost aspect of the resort, beside the Beachfront Rooms, are the three bedroom villas. These come with either a Garden or Beachfront location along with a full kitchen, dining suite, laundry faciltiies, airconditioning in the living room, and an outside entertaining area. These spacious yet affordable villas are extremely popular with extended families, groups, and those looking for a self-catering option within the convenience of a full resort.


Dining

Mal’s Bar: Mal’s Bar is the spot to grab a smoothie, beer or barefoot cocktail overlooking the waterfront. Named after none other than Queensland Legend Mal Meninga, this bar has all your daily hydration needs covered. 

The Brasserie: Set right on the water’s edge, this gathering place offers an all day menu to take you from breakfast to sunset snacks. It is situated next to Mal’s Bar, with a view of the swimming pool and the turquoise lagoon. There are are huts dotted along the patio where you can take in the refreshing breeze and enjoy the water view. Each night of the week boasts a unique themed menu and a buffet dinner with live entertainment from Rarotonga’s best bands and entertainers. The twice-weekly Island Umukai Feast and show takes place here too!

Island Feast: Twice weekly on Tuesday’s and Saturday’s, The Edgewater team offers an Umukai Feast and island show. The buffet is full of delicious local delicacies such as roast pork, fish, rukau (our local spinach made from the young leaves of the taro plant and steamed in coconut cream) and ika mata, followed by the famed Bombe Alaska dessert. The show is a one hour cultural display followed by the resident Panara Boys Band to finish the evening. You won’t want to miss out! 

The Spaghetti House Pizzeria & Grill: Found at the resort entrance just off the main road, Spaghetti House pays homage to the central and southern heritage of Italy. There is a range of pasta, pizza and other signature dishes on offer. Open daily, The Spaghetti House provides a laidback atmosphere that is popular with guests all over the island, so bookings are recommended!
