Guests arriving from Sydney will touch down on Norfolk Island today. Transfers to your accommodation have been arranged, and your car hire will be ready for collection upon arrival at the property. The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure.

Thursday 9 October
Guests arriving from Brisbane will land on Norfolk Island today. Transfers to your accommodation have been arranged, and your car hire will be available for collection upon check-in. The evening is at your leisure to relax and unwind.

This morning, guests from Sydney will enjoy the Island Life Tour, a fascinating introduction to Norfolk Island. Explore the unique intricacies of modern island life as your guide shares insights into its ethnic diversity, nationalities, and languages, including the indigenous Norfolk language. The tour concludes with lunch at the Boatshed Restaurant, located at Governor’s Lodge Hotel.

Friday 10 October
This morning, Brisbane guests embark on the Island Life Tour, which concludes with a delicious lunch at the Boatshed Restaurant.

In the afternoon, while Brisbane guests enjoy leisure time, Sydney guests will delve into the Natural Wonders of Norfolk Island. This captivating tour highlights the island’s geological marvels, including sheer cliffs, basalt outcrops, and volcanic formations. Guests will also explore the island’s unique flora, guided through its diverse species of trees, shrubs, plants, palms, ferns, flowers, and fruits.

This evening, all guests will gather at a local restaurant for a Welcome Dinner, providing an opportunity to meet fellow travellers and the group’s Norfolk host for the week. Your host will join you for dinner, offering insights into island life and answering any questions to enhance your Norfolk Island experience.

Saturday 11 October
This morning, Sydney guests will join a local expert to explore Norfolk Island’s native flora. Discover the island’s endemic plant species and learn about its unique ecology, including native fauna. The tour concludes with a visit to a native plant nursery and a delightful picnic lunch in a scenic setting.

Brisbane guests will embark on the Greenfingers Half-Day Tour, uncovering some of Norfolk’s most enchanting gardens. Stroll through lush landscapes featuring the island’s only maze and a private garden, while learning how past settlements have shaped these beautiful spaces. Enjoy breathtaking views and a delightful morning tea at a picturesque location. The afternoon is at leisure for all guests.

This evening, both groups will come together for the iconic Norfolk Fish Fry, held at a scenic outdoor venue. Savor freshly prepared local fish paired with a variety of seasonal island dishes that highlight Norfolk’s paddock-to-plate freshness. The evening’s entertainment includes talented Tahitian-style dancers whose singing and performances set a vibrant tone. Your local host will join you again, adding unique insights and a warm touch to this memorable dining experience.

Sunday 12 October
The morning is yours to enjoy at leisure. Start the day with a relaxed breakfast at one of Norfolk Island’s charming cafes, or use your rental vehicle to explore the island at your own pace. Perhaps take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of Emily Bay, or snorkel to discover the vibrant marine life beneath the surface. For a different experience, visit one of Norfolk’s fascinating museums or stroll through the picturesque cemetery to reflect on the history of the island’s convict past.

This afternoon, embark on a private tour to explore some of Norfolk Island’s most beautiful gardens. Members of the Norfolk Island Garden Club warmly welcome us to visit three exclusive gardens, offering a rare opportunity to see these hidden gems typically concealed behind hedges and not accessible by bus. The tour also includes a stop for a delightful Devonshire tea at a scenic clifftop location. Dinner this evening will be at your own arrangements.

Monday 13 October
Today is Show Day, a significant event on Norfolk Island’s calendar. The Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Show, first held in 1860, has been a proud tradition ever since. The local community eagerly participates in various competitions, including categories for cooking, flowers, gardens, artwork, cattle, and equestrian events. Head to the Show from lunchtime onward to experience the lively atmosphere and enjoy a wide range of displays. The remainder of the day and dinner is own arrangements.

Tuesday 14 October
This morning, the itinerary swaps from Saturday, with Brisbane guests embarking on the Norfolk Native Flora Tour, while Sydney guests explore the island on the Greenfingers Tour.

The afternoon is at leisure, offering plenty of opportunities to further explore. You may choose to wander through the Botanic Gardens at your own pace or take a scenic drive to 100 Acres Reserve for a walk to the cliff edge, where you can observe seabirds nesting. If you haven’t already, a visit to the shops in Burnt Pine is highly recommended. This evening, join us at Governor’s Lodge Hotel for a memorable farewell dinner with both groups. Your Norfolk host will be there to bid farewell and reflect on the week’s highlights, ensuring you leave with cherished memories of your time on the island.

Wednesday 15 October
This morning, Brisbane guests will embark on the Natural Wonders of Norfolk Island Tour, followed by an afternoon and evening at leisure.
Today, we bid farewell to our Sydney guests, who will be transferred to Norfolk Island Airport for their journey home.

Thursday 16 October
Sadly, the week has come to a close. Brisbane guests will be transferred to Norfolk Island Airport today as it’s time to bid farewell to this beautiful destination.
