Day 1 - Saturday 24 October 2026 - Depart Brisbane, arrive Lord Howe Island (D)
This morning meet your dedicated Tour Leader at Brisbane airport for your flight to Lord Howe Island via Sydney. Upon arrival, transfer to Ocean View Apartments, your home for the next 7 nights. Ocean View Apartments, a family-owned business for over 120 years, is run by 6th-generation descendants of T.B. & Mary Wilson, who settled on Lord Howe Island in 1876. Located off the main road, it’s close to restaurants, cafés, stores, bike hire, and the post office. Just 100 metres away, enjoy the only jetty on the island, lagoon beach, Old Settlement and Ned’s Beach perfect for snorkelling & fish feeding, A short climb up the back paddock and you can capture amazing panoramic views of the island & lagoon. Dinner tonight will be a 2-course dinner at The Anchorage.

Day 2 - Sunday 25 October 2026 – Museum, Visitor Centre (B,D)
Each morning, begin your day with breakfast at The Anchorage. This morning visit the Lord Howe Island Museum and Visitor Centre. The museum has a range of innovative displays on the island’s World Heritage environment, community and history. The Visitor’s Centre is located in the foyer of the museum and can provide information on activities, events, dining and any other information about the island. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Enjoy a swim in the pool at your apartments or take the stroll to one of the beaches to explore. Dinner tonight is a 2-course dinner at the Lord Howe Island Bowling Club.
Day 3 - Monday 26 October 2026 - Island Tour, Fish Feeding at Ned’s Beach, Ian Hutton (B,L,D)
Today following breakfast, embark on a guided bus tour of the island. Learn about the local flora, fauna, history, and island life, both past and present. The tour will include key photo opportunities, as well as insights into pests and predators, island infrastructure, air service, shipping, schooling, and more.
This afternoon, enjoy the unique experience of feeding the fish at Ned’s Beach. Wade into the crystal-clear waters and find yourself instantly surrounded by a vibrant feeding frenzy of Mullet, Wrasse, Garfish, Silver Drummer, Spangled Emperor, and Kingfish. The golden sands gently lead into calm waters, offering a remarkable opportunity to witness the diverse marine life that thrives in this pristine environment.
This evening, join renowned naturalist, photographer, and part-time museum curator Ian Hutton at the Lord Howe Island Museum for a one-hour presentation on the island’s remarkable birdlife. A long-time researcher and recorder of local bird species, Ian will share stories and photographs, providing an overview of the island’s incredible avian diversity. He will also offer tips on where to find birdlife throughout the seasons and the best locations for viewing. Dinner will be a 2-course dinner at the Coral Café.
Day 4 - Tuesday 27 October 2026 - Dog Demonstration, Stevens Reserve (B,D)
After breakfast, learn about the Lord Howe Island detection dog breeds, their ongoing training, and daily tasks. Watch a live demonstration of the dogs detecting their target odours and species in action. Afterwards take a leisurely stroll through the Stevens Reserve. This 1.2 km loop trail is a great short walk to get to know the island’s flora and fauna through the lush rainforest filled with Kentia palms and banyan trees.
The afternoon is at leisure. Feeling energetic? Why not arrange a game of golf at the Lord Howe Island Golf Club or get up an easy game of tennis on the super grass tennis court at your apartments. Racquets and balls are available for you to borrow. Dinner this evening will be a 2-course meal at the Driftwood Restaurant - onsite at your accommodation.
Day 5 - Wednesday 28 October 2026 - Coral Viewing, Gin Distillery & Tasting (B,D)
Today, after breakfast, experience the pristine beauty of one of the world’s most untouched reef systems. Learn about this unique marine environment and discover a new world aboard our glass-bottom boats. This tour focuses on exploring the coral seascape and introduces visitors to some of the more unusual lagoon inhabitants, such as the endemic double-header wrasse, stingrays, and turtles. An optional snorkelling experience at Erscott’s Hole is available, or you can just relax on the boat and view the stunning diversity of this exotic marine location.
This afternoon, visit Lord Howe’s award-winning distillery for a tour and gin tasting. Set against the backdrop of breathtaking coastal views, the gin tastings provide a serene environment to savour each distinct gin variety. The gin-making course, echoing the island's commitment to environmental sustainability, offers a hands-on experience to learn the delicate art of distillation, from selecting the perfect blend of botanicals to mastering the intricacies of flavour profiling. After sunset this evening dinner will be a 2-course at the Coral Café.
Day 6 - Thursday 29 October 2026 - North Bay Turtle & Nature Tour (B,L,D)
After breakfast, cruise to North Bay, a secluded beach inside the lagoon. Experience stunning views from Mt Eliza, the old Gulch and Herring Pools and discover seabird rookeries, geology and beachcombing on a guided beach walk. Learn about the resident Green and Hawksbill Turtles and their amazing migration to and from the island. Finish the morning with a picnic lunch at North Bay. The afternoon is at leisure. Swim in the lagoon or if you’re feeling more adventurous take one of the island’s longer hiking trails to see the birdlife and stunning natural views. Dinner this evening will be a 2-course at the Coral Café.
Day 7 - Friday 30 October 2026 - Historical Movies, Walk to Little Island (B,D)
After breakfast, venture to the museum to view historical films about the island prior to a scenic walk-through the ancient forests of Banyan trees and endemic Kentia palms. Just over a kilometre from the road, the gentle walk along the southwestern shoreline will lead you to a grassy clearing beneath the towering peaks of Mt Gower and Mt Lidgbird. Tonight’s 2-course Farewell Dinner will be at the Lord Howe Island Golf Club.
Day 8 - Saturday 31 October 2026 - Depart Lord Howe, arrive Brisbane (B)
Sadly, today marks the end of your time on beautiful Lord Howe Island. After breakfast at The Anchorage, you will be transferred to Lord Howe Island Airport for your flight to Sydney, followed by your onward journey to Brisbane. Farewell, Lord Howe.

Set amidst subtropical foliage of Kentia palms & ferns the comfortable modern studio units have fully equipped kitchenettes. Bedding is 1 Queen Bed and 1 Single Bed or 1 Queen Bed and 2 Single Beds. The Maximum room capacity is 3 Adults or 2 Adults and 2 Children.
Family Unit: There are 2 Family Units consisting of two separate bed rooms and two bathrooms.
