This morning, meet your dedicated guide at Brisbane International Airport before taking a Qantas flight to picturesque Norfolk Island. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to Governor’s Lodge your home for the next seven nights. Tonight, step back in time for the evening to 1859 – three years after the arrival of the Pitcairn Islanders in 1856. You are the audience and the actors on this tour as the events unfold and the story is woven through a delicious three-course meal.
Day 2 –Friday 6 June 2025: The 200 years Anniversary of 2nd Convict Settlement (B,L,D)
Take a guided tour of the 2nd convict settlement museum exhibition. During the 200-year anniversary lunch listen to the guest speaker unravel the tales of the harshest settlement of Norfolk Island history. Tonight, reflect on the day’s events at dinner.
Day 3 – Saturday 7 June 2025: Bounty Museum & Island Life (B,L,T,D)
After breakfast, lose yourself in the Bounty Folk Museum, though small in size, the museum is wide in scope, with lots of artefacts to pour over. This afternoon after lunch, spend a delightful day touring Norfolk Island, gaining a true insight into the intricate nature of modern island life. After a short break, get ready for your two-course dinner at Hillis Restaurant.
Day 4 – Sunday 8 June 2025: Sunday Market, Captain Cook Monument, Lavender Farm (B,L)
Head to the markets this morning to enjoy local arts and crafts and mingle with the locals. Embark on a special picnic lunch at Captain Cook Monument and Lookout. At the lookout, feast your eyes on majestic vistas. Along the coastline, Norfolk pines stand proudly on steep, indented cliffs, the South Pacific crashing at their feet. Return to your accommodation with free time to relax or explore at leisure. Late this afternoon, spend time at the Lavender Farm where you have opportunity to learn about the different lavender varieties that have been planted on island and treat yourself to their famous lavender gelato and other products (own expense).
Day 5 – Monday 9 June 2025: Bounty Day Celebration (B,T,L,D)
This morning watch the Bounty Mutineer descendants as they re-enact the landing of their forbearers. The landing takes place at the Kingston Pier, the oldest pier in the Southern Hemisphere. You can follow the procession of the Bounty Mutineers descendants who will be dressed in period costume to the Cenotaph to pay respects to fallen heroes. The Bounty Mutineer descendants will make their way to the All Saints Church for the judging of the best dressed families. You can observe the tradition of the children of the Bounty Mutineers descendants rolling down the Government House hill. Before lunch the Norfolk grace will be sung. You will sample some traditional Norfolk wetls (food). This evening, enjoy dinner at Bailey’s restaurant.
Day 6 – Tuesday 10 June 2025: Natural Wonders, Island Fish Fry (B,D)
This morning you will explore Norfolk Island's geological marvels in all their natural beauty. Be expertly guided through the beauty and characteristics of the island's delightful native, endemic and introduced species of trees and shrubs, plants and palms, ferns, flowers and fruits. Tonight enjoy Norfolk traditions at the Island Fish Fry – a feast of local island dishes and entertainment while the sun sets from scenic 'Orn Daa Cliff' on Norfolk’s beautiful western coastline.
Day 7 – Wednesday 11 June 2025: Cyclorama, Hundred Acres Reserve, Progressive Dinner (B,D)
After breakfast marvel at the amazing 360-degree panoramic painting at Fletcher’s Mutiny cyclorama, which provides a total experience, bringing to life the history of the Norfolk Island people and their connection with the infamous mutiny on the ‘Bounty’. This afternoon, enjoy Bumboras Bay prior to a stroll through the gorgeous Hundred Acres Reserve leading to Rocky Point spoiling you with views from the cliffs. Tonight, enjoy a three-course meal progressing to different Norfolk Island family homes. A fun night and a great way of meeting the local people and sampling island dishes.
